With the new downtown landscaping plan, the new micro brewery, White Street Brewery coming the historic downtown Wake Forest area should begin to be what has been envisioned for years - a lively historic arts and entertainment district. Outside music, outside dining, fun place to be.
South White street extending from Roosevelt Ave ( begins after going under RR tressle) and extending 4-5 blocks to end of The Cotton Company is the area referred to as the "historic arts and entertainment district". The area is now listed on the federal registry as a historic destination.
